PURPOSE OF JOB
The Senior Technician – Prototyping & Machining supports engineering, design services, and R&D activities by fabricating, modifying, and assembling medical device prototypes, tooling, and fixtures. This role places a strong emphasis on hands-on machining and prototype manufacturing using CNC, manual, and custom-developed equipment. The position requires a demonstrated willingness and capability to personally manufacture a wide variety of medical device prototypes while collaborating closely with engineers in a regulated environment.
Responsibilities – All Machinist Levels (I, II, III)
- Fabricate, modify, and assemble medical device prototypes, tooling, fixtures, and experimental components.
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and specialty equipment.
- Manufacture prototype components using processes such as metal CNC and manual machining, tube bending, forming, swaging, tip grinding, laser cutting, and laser welding.
- Perform metal-to-plastic assembly, including integration of machined metal parts with injection-molded or rapid-prototyped components.
- Support rapid design iteration by modifying prototype components based on engineering
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, sketches, and GD&T specifications.

REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing preferred.
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or related field is a plus.
- 7–10+ years of hands-on machining and prototype fabrication experience, preferably in medical device or regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience operating manual and CNC machining equipment; CNC programming exposure (G-code and/or CAM systems) preferred.
- Proven willingness to personally fabricate prototype components using a wide range of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of machining methods, tolerances, materials, and tooling selection.
- Familiarity with plastic injection molding processes is a plus.
- Experience working in ISO 13485 and FDA-regulated environments preferred.

- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work environment consists of both office areas and manufacturing environments that house various types of machinery and equipment. Position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, perform repetitive hand motions, and safely operate machinery. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and work in typical manufacturing conditions including noise, dust, heat, and cold.
Operations Manager
SALARY – $140,000.00- 180,000.00 Depending on Professional Experience
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the electropolishing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role manages personnel, production scheduling, process control, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer, regulatory, and business requirements. It also supports quality compliance initiatives. Includes supervision of Production, Wastewater Treatment, Fixture Fabrication and General Maintenance.
Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing, process control, and maintenance operations in an electropolishing job shop which ensure the most effective return of assets.
Initiate plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and facilities. Assure attainment of business objectives and productions schedules while ensuring product standards that will exceed our customers’ expectations.
Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports strategic initiatives.
Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout assigned departments for quality processing, problem solving, and cost reduction, both on a permanent and ad-hoc basis, depending on need. Focus on fact-based problem solving and individual accountability/participation.
Interact with customers to ensure that customers’ quality and production expectations are consistently being met or exceeded.

Rolling Mill Operator

Pay – $29.00-$31.00/hour
Set up and operate a variety of ZR rolling mills and metal forming machines, working with close tolerances. Check and order material and work from route cards and schedules. Use a variety of precision measuring tools to perform in-process inspection and check incoming material to meet required standards

- Primary responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the set up and running of different (CNC) computer numeric controlled production equipment within the Metals Department. The Diecast Tech 1 works with Diecast Tenders and more senior Diecast Technicians to keep the diecast machines running at target cycle rates, producing quality cast parts from metal ingots. Must be able to complete all of the Diecast Tender responsibilities, continually monitor machine operations, filling pots with metal ingots, clearing cast parts from collection totes, performing in-process inspections and supplying the department and machines with the materials and resources required for safe, consistent operations. Ensure machines follow approved process sheet and cast parts meet specifications per part-specific QAP’s to ensure repeatable, acceptable quality diecast parts.

- Operate 4-slide, hot chamber diecast machines to produce diecast parts, according to approved process sheets
- Perform machine control operations and advanced troubleshooting to start-up and shut-down machines ready for production; clear and clean part jams as required
- Keep machine pots filled with metal (incoming as ingots), dross pots regularly during shift, clear cast parts from machine collection totes/buckets, fill lubrication reservoirs on diecast machines
- Adhere to department schedule board for job prioritization; support company-wide on-time delivery goals
- Perform in-process inspections to QAP specifications, using visuals, simple Go/No-go gaging, microscopes, loupes, calipers, micrometers, and other related dimensional inspection tools, to ensure quality of parts
- Ensure all product meets quality specifications during in-process inspections according to product-specific Quality Assurance Plan (QAP)
- Troubleshoot process, tooling, and/or machine to optimize non-conforming or poor-quality parts
- Optimize casting process to reduce cycle times (improve productivity) while maintaining quality
- Perform Set-ups and Teardowns (using SOP’s and checklists) to changeover tooling in diecast machines
- Inspect, protect and store all tooling appropriately to prevent damage and ensure availability for set-up at next scheduled run
- Accurately report daily production performance – production quantities by lot per job travelers, daily production report for OEE metrics
- Complete any TWR’s and TDR’s to properly document and communicate all tooling-related issues
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in diecasting, machining, metal finishing, and/or related industrial manufacturing environments is a plus.

The Press Feeder Operator loads materials into and removes materials from machines or equipment. Inspects materials for defects and ensures materials are fed into machines and equipment as required by the work orders. The position is responsible for lifting or moving heavy materials as needed. The Press Feeder is in charge of completely setting up the press by keeping the press continuously running, placing ink in the fountains, preparing for sheet size and also color washing from one color to another. The Press Feeders overall job purpose consists of supplying materials and assistance to the Pressman as directed.
